Concept: According to ASEAN's motto "One Vision, One Identity, One Community", the international boundary lines between all member countries are becoming blurred. In this exhibition, I focus on erasing the boundary lines by relocating provinces of Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and the states of Malaysia to new locations.

แนวคิด จากแนวคิดของประชาคมอาเซียนที่พยายามหลอมรวมประเทศต่างๆภายในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ให้เป็นหนึ่งเดียว ส่งผลให้พรมแดนที่กั้นระหว่างประเทศต่างๆเลือนหายไป หรือมีลักษณะไร้พรมแแดน จึงเกิดแรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างผลงานด้วยแนวคิดการลบเส้นเขตแดน ในนิทรรศการนี้ ผลงานเป็นรูปทรงของจังหวัดต่างๆในประเทศไทย พม่า กัมพูชา ลาวและรัฐต่างๆในประเทศมาเลเซีย โดยตำแหน่งที่ตั้งของจังหวัดและรัฐถูกสลับสับเปลี่ยน ให้แตกต่างไปจากที่ตั้งเดิม เพื่อที่จะไม่สามารถระบุได้ว่า พื้นที่ส่วนไหนเป็นของประเทศใดได้

"Walking a Tightrope is a duo exhibition of Jedsada Tangtrakulwong and Suebsang Sangwachirapiban connect to authentic framework of 'Southeast Asian region' where has now been a dynamic zone in the globe in terms of economics, investments and natural resources etc. In particular 'ASEAN', just formed up in the late 60's, is dragging about 600 million civilians into a bigger competitive battlefield as never. With full anticipation, the region will move forwards smoothly and most interests and profits will directly belong to Southeast Asia people. In contrast, untold doubts, rational assumption and ambitious policies are implied by local and international intellectuals that the citizen must keep an eye on the change wisely. In fact, there are only two outcomes of global marketing competition which are winner and loser as they are the nature in the field.

Walking a Tightrope is shaped a conceptualisation by governmental and alternative information, comprehension and narrations of Southeast Asia to suggest and halt us for a moment of realisation what the realistic image of Southeast Asia and ASEAN is. Most information of Southeast Asia context is replaced by ASEAN promotions and campaigns disseminate passive message night and day around 10 nations. Whether, the association will work or not, the artists intend to stimulate mutual understanding and rationality accurately through visual art of mixed media art and installation art. 

Jedsada points that according to the ASEAN's motto "One Vision, One Identity, One Community", the Southeast Asia's countries and provinces borderlines are becoming blurred. In this exhibition, the artist focuses on erasing the borderlines by relocating provinces of Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and states of Malaysia to new locations. Suebsang, meanwhile, explores cultural integration, social inclusion, hidden agenda and uncertain context that we have currently encountered. The consequences are transformed into local contemporary art element such as techniques, materials, symbols and beauties deliberately. In fact, the artworks are offering the audience a vivid interpretation of Southeast Asia and ASEAN."
